Good afternoon all!
Its come to that time again when i am here with good news. For those who (still) are unaware, OzG has been saving up for a few months in order to purchase our new hardware. And well, we have it! I went to pick it up on Thursday afternoon, but the transfer hadn't gone through but. So we had to wait another day. I got a call from Cardy at about 2.00 Friday saying "There's a box at my house that has "Ozegamer" writen on it. Pick it up on saturday". And well, now its sitting next to my PC. Havent really touched it yet as im still trying to work things out before i dive head first into it all.
The whole process is a slow and tedious one, but now that we have the hardware, it feels like we are really getting closer to our goal...World Domination. And by that i mean hosting game servers!
Here are a few quick happy snaps i took. My sister has her Digi-SLR, so i was stuck with a dodgy digital so they arnt that good. Ill try get some better ones soon.

Good morning all! Quick news update to let you all know what has been happening lately... Congratulations are in order for 2 new members in to OzG. Anti-Rich and Evolution both passed the trial with flying colours (even though I taunted them with failure) and have now been accepted into the clan. If you see them in the server please congratulate them.
As most of you are probably aware by now, the end of September marks the changeover of the Chillout Lounge CSS from part ownership of OzG/Treeman and a few others. On the 1st of October, Treeman will be in charge of the server, and OzG will lose their share. We will no longer have admin access, but I’m sure most of us will still visit regularly. As most would have noticed, treeman has already started making changes to the server, and the community seems to be accepting them well. We wish Treeman the best of luck as he takes over the Chillout Lounge.
A VERY big thank you for all the people who had donated some of their hard earned cash to OzG. We are now close to getting to our goal, and will be looking at purchasing hardware very soon. Stay tuned to the website, as it will be updated with the progress of it all. Around $300 was donated to the clan. Happy Gaming OzG Team. |

A little background first:
After ending our contract with Mammoth*, we went on the hunt for a new provider. We chose a company called Mercness but ran into troubles. This resulted in our servers hosted by them becoming non-existent.
Since then, OzG has been chipping in with the ICY group to rent a server. The current server most of us play on: The [OzG] n 'ICY' Chillout Lounge. For those, the IP address is 122.100.6.233:27015
While this has been going on, we have been saving up money in an attempt to purchase our own equipment and get the hosted at a data center. Then we could host our own servers, cutting out the middle man.
In amongst all this we have had a few people join and leave the clan. Mr. Spanky and Depo Provera joined the ranks of OzG, but unfortunately, we have had Chopper and Pete depart ways. I think thats about it!
